UNCLE JOHN
                    (October 2000)
                      Travis Moody

Uncle John is a really nice Guy.   When he walks near you, you can hear the jingle of his keys like a dog's collar. His earrings shine in the summer sun. His leather jacket is dark like the night sky.
The thing he loves most ( besides his family ) is his HARLEY. The growl of his Harley as he rides down the road is like the roar of a grizzly bear.
His hair is as long as a giraffe's neck.  His blue eyes stare down on you.
If I were him I would have a lot to be thankful for.

This was written by John's nephew, Travis Moody, six months before John's death.  Travis was 9 years old.  They had a wonderful relationship. John always lovingly called Travis "Travee Dog".
John always took both his son John and Travis out on opening day of trout season. Both boys will always treasure the memories of those outings.
