Pam wrote these poems in 1976. They were published in her school newspaper "The Barker".

They give us a glimpse of her inner feelings.

               Dear God

God,

Are You here in this room?

Do You make the flowers bloom?

Do you show you really care?

Do You have Your love to share?

Mine’s been here all for You

I don’t think You ever knew

If You knew You’d come along

Then we would gather and sing a song.

In my bed I start to think

Then of a sudden I give a blink

I never said these things before

‘cause people would think of them to ignore.

But when I die I hope you’ll pray,

And we all may return another day

  Lonely Child

I’m a dying child of the wilderness,

I’m an only child with nothing else

Soon it’ll be all over for me.

I’ve loved the world so tenderly

The fun I shared with my mom

I don’t know how I could be so calm

To know I’m going to die

Gives me an urge that I could cry

Alone in the world I have walked

With no one but me, I have talked

God Is……..

God is like a weeble,
He never lets you down

God is like apple pie,
He’s great

God is like medicine,
He helps you.

God is like the sky,
He’s above you day through night.

God is like Coca-Cola,
He’s the real thing.

God is like a candy store,
He’s full of goodies.

God is like a door,
He shuts out the bad and opens up the good.

But most of all….

God is like a cleanser, He’s fantastic !
