I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done.
The Memorial card given at John's funeral, chosen by his wife Charon.
It states exactly what he would have said.
John lived a full life. He accepted Jesus as His Lord as a teenager. He surmounted obstacles in his life and most always had a positive attitude. Over 600 people attended his funeral services. He was greatly loved and is dearly missed by all who knew him.
Both my daughter and I had a vision of him on the very same night. He had the same appearance to both of us and gave us each a hug. A nice gentle hug. It gave us such comfort. We look forward to our reunion in Heaven!
I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in me will live,
even though he die.... John 11:25
When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand;
The angel said my place was ready,
In Heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind,
All those I dearly love,
But when I walked through Heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home,
For God lookd down, smiled at me,
And told me "Welcome Home!"
So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For everytime you think of me,
I'm right there in your heart.

John's Aunt May Ricci read this and thought of John, whom she loved so very much.
She asked that it be placed on his web site from her and his Mom.
