John and Charon with John's brother Rick
John and Rick may have been step-brothers, but
they shared a love closer than many natural brothers.
Growing up together from the ages of 6 (Rick) and
4-(John), they shared many good times together.
As kids they would build tents of blankets in the
living room, go fishing with Dad and ride their bikes
over ramps they constructed in the back yard.
As they grew to adulthood, they were not together as
often as they would have liked, but they continued to
have a strong bond and respect for each other's
individuality.
