July 18, 1998
A day filled with sunshine,
A day filled with love,
Two hearts were joined together
As the Lord looked from above.
Friends and kin were gathered there
Wishing them years of wedded bliss
Everyone cheered and were joyous
As they shared their first "married kiss".
Kindred hearts and spirits
This day was meant to be
A love so strong, so total,
Not many couples see.
Their days to spend together
To share as man and wife,
Were much fewer than expected
As he's been taken from this life.
His blue eyes so tender and loving
As he gazed upon her face,
Have been closed and angels surround him,
As he rests in that heavenly place.
She misses him, and wants to touch him,
And share the things in her heart,
To be able to tell him she loves him
And wishes they weren't apart.
The memories of their days together,
The laughter and the tears,
Will be treasured in her heart as sacred
And bring her comfort through the years.
The Lord will reunite them one day,
And that's a certainty,
For a love so strong, so beautiful,
Lasts throughout eternity.
