"I have carried you on eagle's wings and brought you here to me"
Exodus 19:4
January 4, 1969 - April 28, 2001
John was a loving son , brother, husband, father and friend. All who knew him appreciated his quick wit and his upbeat attitude. He was always upfront with his feelings and always saw the positive side of people. He was always there to lend a hand when asked. He was generous with his time and his love.
Each year, from 2002 to 2008, on the Saturday closest to the 28th of April, Harley riders joined together and had a memorial bike ride in his honor. It was a wonderful tribute. In 2003 there were over 65 bikes in the ride and in 2004 there were 84! 2006 surpassed all previous years with over 110 bikes! John's son, John ,led the ride on the back of his grandfather's bike.
After a time of reflection at the cemetery, all would ride back to John's favorite restaurant and have a buffet. As his sister, Pat, remarked, "It's so great to hear all the 'John' stories as you walk around the people gathered there. He was loved by so many!''
