Welcome To Hugs From Heaven
This site was originally in loving memory of our son John Earl Lambert who died in a motorcycle accident on April 28, 2001 at the age of 32.
On October 24,2003, we also lost our daughter, Pamela Joy Winter, aged 41.
This site is now in loving memory of both of them.
John was my son from my first marriage and Pam was my husband’s youngest daughter by his first marriage. But we have always and will continue to refer to our children as ”our” children. We have shared all the various stages of their lives and love each of them as our own.
John always greeted me and said goodbye with a big bear hug, which is why I have so named this site. There are more things about John and Pam on the links bearing their names.
We would like this to be a place of comfort and support for other parents who have lost a son or daughter. As a dear friend who had also lost a son said at our son's funeral. "This is a club we both belong to now, and we don't want to belong to it nor have anyone else belong."
We attribute our survival through these horrendous experiences to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has been there for us from the start. We have felt His presence, His Comfort, His Love. Yes, this site is in memory of our children but we dedicate it to our Lord. May He be glorified here. May you feel His presence as you scroll through the site.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4
I have included various things which I have received through email or elsewhere. Things which have touched my heart. Sometimes bringing a smile, sometimes a tear.
I have given recognition where due as supplied to me. If I have inadvertently used something which should not be included please inform me and it will be removed.
I sincerely hope the links I've included will be
comforting and healing. I've listed various sites which
offer help in dealing with losing your loved one.
I welcome any submissions that you would like to make. This is a site to be shared. I will eventually have pages made up of various things sent to me.
All I ask is that you honor the Lord in what you submit. Hatred or any obscene, off color items will not be considered.
